ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Every week WFXR News highlights adoptable pets filling up animal shelters across southwest and central Virginia during our Furry Friends segment.

On Tuesday, January 10th, Julie Rickmond with the Roanoke Valley SPCA brought sweet and smiley Eliza onto “Good Day Virginia.”

Eliza is two years old and weighs 42 lbs. Rickmond says Eliza very very sweet girl who loves to be right up against you all the time. Her smile is contagious!

Eliza and her two 5-month-old puppies were brought into the SPCA’s care last week. The puppies will be available once they have their spay/neuter surgeries.
