ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Berglund center announced the next two shows in its summer concert series in Elmwood Park. The Backroads Blues Festival, WAR, and The Commodores will be coming to Roanoke.

It’s all part of the Bud Light Vinyl Vault Concert Series in Elmwood Park.

The Backroads Blues Festival will take the stage on Saturday, August, 20. The band features Buddy Guy (Born to Play Guitar), Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.

WAR and The Commodores will be playing on Saturday, July, 30. WAR is a multi-platinum selling band that is responsible for hits such as “Low Rider,” “The World Is A Ghetto,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “The Cisco Kid,” and more. The Commodores’ hit list includes “Brick House,” “Machine Gun,” and “Sail On”.

The Backroads Blues Festival

  • $45 in advance, $50 on the day of the event
  • VIP Table $700 Includes a table and admission to the concert for up to eight people, a $10 food voucher per person, and two drink tickets per person.

WAR and The Commodores

  • $39 in advance, $44 on the day of the event
  • VIP Table $700 Includes a table and admission to the concert for up to eight people, a $10 food voucher per person, and two drink tickets per person.

Tickets for both shows will go on sale Friday, April, 15.
