Grandin Theatre continues “Big Screen Classics Series” on Friday nights

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Grandin Theatre will continue to hold its “Big Screen Classic Series” every Friday through the month of August.

The Big Lebowski (1998) dir. by the Coen Brothers is screening Friday, August 7. The story follows Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski, mistaken for a millionaire of the same name, as he seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it.

There are only 80 to 90 tickets available so that guests can stay socially distanced. The movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

The movies selected for the remainder of August include:

  • Dirty Dancing (1987) dir. by Emile Ardolino
  • The Color Purple (1985) dir. by Steven Spielberg
  • The Jerk (1979) dir. by Carl Reiner
