ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The moving musical production “Cross That River” will perform at Berglund Center on Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

The performance shows the story of an important part of American history where Black cowboys helped settle the West.

Award-winning musician Allan Harris, wrote the production to tell the untold story of the Black West and empower Americans with an inspiring story of hope and freedom.

Music icon Tony Bennet called Harris “my favorite singer.”

He has performed with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra at Carnegie Hall as well as at the Winter and Summer Olympics and with musical legends Vince Gill and Stevie Wonder.
