UPDATE: Ronnie Campbell wins Special Election


UPDATE: Republican leaders said Ronnie Campbell won the Special Election for Virginia’s 24th House District Race Tuesday evening.


Unofficial Election results show that Republican Ronnie Campbell has a strong lead in the Special Election in Virginia’s 24th House District Race. 

The seat opened after Ben Cline was elected to replace longtime Congressman Bob Goodlatte in Washington.

The Department of Elections website shows that Republican Ronnie Campbell had around 60 percent of the vote as of 7:45 p.m.

Campbell is running against Democrat Christian Worth.
