ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Thanksgiving Day is closing in and as runners and walkers get ready to participate in this year’s Drumstick DASH in downtown Roanoke, there are a few things to know.
Packet Pickup Dates and Times
Runners can pick up their packets in the days leading up to the DASH, which is Thursday, Nov. 25. Your packet will include your 2021 Atlantic Union Bank Drumstick DASH shirt, along with coupons/swag from businesses and organizations.
The date and times are listed below when participants can get their packets for the race:

Interactive Race Day Experience
Participants can use the RaceJoy app to help keep track of their experience. The app provides GPS progress alerts to help you receive updates as you complete your goal. There is also live GPS tracking to give spectators the ability to track the live progress of their friend or loved one participating in the race. The app also allows people to be supportive by sending supportive audio cheers from remote friends and family. There is also a section for virtual runners as well.
On race day, the Drumstick Dash website has a how-to to help people get set up on the RaceJoy app.
