ROANOKE, Va.(WFXR)–WFXR Sports has a new segment with The Big Tournament tipping off in March. To get you ready for the Tournament, Sports Director Jermaine Ferrell interviews some of the play-by-play voices in the state with “Voices of March”. In this edition, Jermaine caught up with the Voice of Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball, Bryant Johnson.

Johnson is in his 2nd season calling women’s basketball and baseball games for the Hokies. He formerly served four seasons as “Voice of the Colonels” and assistant athletic director of communications for Nicholls State University. Johnson also is the former play-by-play broadcaster for Adams State University in Colorado, where he handled duties for football, women’s and men’s basketball, softball, baseball and lacrosse. He also previously worked with Altitude Sports as host of Walk With The Wolves: All Access With CSU-Pueblo Athletics while calling Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference football and basketball games for Altitude. Johnson is a native of Orange, California and graduated from Brown College in Minneapolis.
