The Tropical Atlantic is heating up early this year as there have been two named storms before the actual season began, Arthur and Bertha and the outlook is forecast to be an active one with 13 – 19 named storms, 6 – 10 are expected to become hurricanes and 3 – 6 are likely to become major hurricanes (Cat 3 or above). That is an aggressive outlook to the season. What does the outlook mean and how important is the outlook. Dr. Michael Brennan of the National Hurricane Center stresses the importance of preparation. There may be several storms that develop, but the most important storm or storms are the ones that impact you.
The biggest take away from the outlook is the need to prepare. Prepare your home, your property and more importantly prepare you family.
