NATURAL BRIDGE, Va (WFXR) — Many people in our viewing area decided to skip shopping for Black Friday deals. Instead, they took to the great outdoors.
Many people flocked to the Natural Bridge to take in the scenery and to get away from the large crowds and the noise of the city.

Natural Bridge State Park requires masks to be worn in all facilities and where ever social distancing is not possible.

“I mean given the type of year we’ve had so far I think people have been couped up, and people want to get out… and this is one of the few things I think people feel safe and comfortable doing.”Jenna Bowen – Lodging at Natural Bridge Station
People there today have either been camping or are renting cabins to spend the holiday weekend with family and friends.
“Well… we rented a cabin for Thanksgiving up here at Natural Bridge Station, just to get away, me and the family it’s about ten of us, and… I mean we love being outdoors we love getting exercise.”Jenna Bowen – Lodging at Natural Bridge Station
“We’re going to meet up with some friends later for dinner, we’re camping with friends here… so, we’ll meet them up for dinner later and then see what tomorrow brings, enjoy the weekend.”John Ingold – Camping at Natural Bridge State Park
Everyone we spoke with said it’s nice to see people getting outside and enjoying time with family and friends. Several mentioned the great weather we’re having today.
