Digital Weather Specials

(WFXR) — The WFXR News Pinpoint Weather Team is spotlighting Severe Weather Awareness Week in Virginia.

During the week, we’ll take a look at severe weather in our region and how it has impacted us in the short-term and in the long-term.

Today, we take a look at one of the more widely-impactful severe weather events: flooding.

One of the key point to remember, is the difference between a Flood Watch and a Flood Warning.

A Watch means conditions are favorable for flooding.

A Warning means that flooding is either occurring or is imminent, so the time to take action is NOW!
