ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — If you are wondering if college is the right step or trying to decide which colleges to apply to, then you should attend the HBCU College and Resource Fair on February 4th.

The Roanoke Public Libraries is hosting the fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Melrose Branch Library and it is open to the community. The event features Roanoke’s very own Robert Mason, the author of “Get Educated: The Man Behind the Common Black College Application(CBCA).” Students who attend will have the opportunity to use the CBCA and will receive a free promo code with the option to apply to 67 HBCUs.

To date, over 250,000 students have completed the CBCA. Much of what I have been able to achieve can be directly attributed to my family, friends, coaches and teachers from throughout
the Roanoke Valley. I’m looking forward to seeing you all and having the opportunity
to personally thank you.”

– Said Mason.
