1. Kuma Moon at 725 University City Blvd Blacksburg, VA 24060

Kuma Moon is an authentic Japanese cuisine and bubble tea shop that sits near Virginia Tech. Its drink options include fresh fruit lemonade, fruit tea, amber fresh milk, and more than six bubble tea flavors. Their food menu features Donburi’s, Curry Katsu Platters, Ramen, and more. Kuma Moon hosted its soft opening on Jan. 28.

2. Bull Docks at 1100 Celebration Ave Ste 201 Moneta, VA 24121

Rating: 4.5 / 5

Bull Docks is a seafood and steakhouse with special dishes throughout the week. It has smoked specialized drinks and hand-cut Certified Angus Beef Prime Ribs. The restaurant opened on Dec. 21, 2022, with the motto, “Great Food and Good Times.”

3. It’s Pho Time at 5524 Williamson Rd Ste 5 Roanoke, VA 24012

This Vietnamese restaurant opened on Jan. 20 at the Lamplighter Mall on Williamson Road. While serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine, the restaurant offers vegan options and even has a build-your-own-bowl feature. It’s Pho Time, just added bubble tea to their menu with flavors such as Strawberry, Honeydew, Thai Tea, and more.

4. Yamada Japanese BBQ at 205 Gristmill Drive Forest, Va. 24551

On March 24th, drummers celebrated as staff cut their ribbons to mark the official opening of the Yamada Japanese BBQ restaurant. Owner Koki Yamada, says he wanted to bring more Japanese culture to the city and for people to enjoy the food. The bbq restaurant offers lunch combos and dinner options where customers are the chefs. The menu includes a variety of appetizers and has over 12 meat choices featuring pork, chicken, beef, and seafood.
