LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR)- Centra Rivermont schools received a large donation from the organizers of the Puzzled Car, Truck, and Bike Show – Blake and Andrea Bryant.
The check worth more than $26,000 was presented at the Lynchburg Autism school branch. The schools gratitude is apparent, as they took the opportunity to surprise and honor the Bryants with a bench handmade by students.
All the funds raised by the Bryants for the school come directly from the Puzzled event.
The Bryants are extremely passionate about raising money for educational programs tailored to the needs of students with autism and other special needs, so much, that they work day in and day out to plan Puzzled.
Blake and Andrea just work all year round to get this up and running. They’re already working on next years.Beth Ackerman, Director of Rivermont Schools
Their commitment to raising awareness and funding for the educational needs of kids with special needs is unparalleled.
Lots of times, people are going to think this is kind of crazy, but I go to sleep dreaming about it, ya know thinking about. “Hey what can I do better for next time? What can I do more of? How can I make it more fun for the kids, and at the end of the day how can I make more money for the school?”Blake Bryant, Puzzled Chairman
Their dedication is apparent and appreciated by many.
He’s just so passionate about this. I mean he comes to us with neat ideas. He just wants to see our kids get everything they need and everybody in the community just knows him for his passion for kids with disability throughout the community, really throughout the state of Virginia.Beth Ackerman, Director of Rivermont Schools
