ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke City School Board Naming Committee is asking for the community’s assistance in choosing new names for its Roanoke City Public School (RCPS) Administration Building and Roanoke Technical Educations Center building.

An online survey consists of 12 names to choose from and is available for the entire community until Tuesday, Feb. 28. For those who want to vote in person, they can attend the public meeting on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. in the media center at the Administration building on Douglass Avenue.

RCPS officials say in March of 2023, the top-voted names will be put on a list so they can make their final decision.
