ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Grab your family and friends and get ready for game day. The annual “Guns N’ Hoses” hockey game returns to the Berglund Center to score another goal for a good cause on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Every year, local Roanoke-area IAFF Firefighters (a.k.a. the “Hoses”) compete with area police and law enforcement personnel (a.k.a the “guns) to raise money for local Roanoke Valley Charities.

The event has raised over $450,000, and more than 90,000-people attended the games over the last 18-years, said Roanoke Valley Guns & Hoses Hockey President, Toby Martin. 2023 is the year they want to try and break that half-a-million-dollar mark. This year’s game will benefit Carilion Children’s Hematology & Oncology Clinic to help local families with children battling cancer.

The event will start at 6 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online, at the Berglund Center Box Office, or by calling 866 -HDG –TICKETS. Ticket prices range from $6 to $11.
