“Child exploitation is right here in Lynchburg. In 2022, our local Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force reported 212 arrested and 122 children identified/rescued. I have three children. This is not an issue I, or any other parent can afford to ignore. We, as a community, are responsible to keep one another’s children safe.” Lauren McQuillan, Event Coordinator at Freedom 4/24.

The Run 4 Their Lives Races are Freedom 4/24 events and were founded in 2009. This event is just one of the many events held that focus on awareness of sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

Additionally, on Friday night, participants and community members are invited to packet pick up and a Family Fun Night which will feature games and food trucks. Runners will also have the opportunity to fundraise for Freedom 4/24. Those who raise $50 can join the race for free.
