ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Popular Japanese restaurant Ike’s Kitchen is set to reopen its doors on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The restaurant announced its closure a little over a year ago in March 2022. According to their Facebook, Ike Kitchen decided to close its doors due to its owner, Ike’s retirement.

However, fans of the restaurant started speculating about its return when the restaurant’s Facebook page was active again in September of this year, posting the kitchen’s logo twice on the same day. It wasn’t until Sunday, Oct. 6 when the good news was finally released.

Ike’s Kitchen announced a grand opening at their new location in the Lamplighter Mall off Williamson Road. The restaurant will now be located where the old Wonju Korean restaurant was located.
