CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A Rustburg man is behind bars after allegedly barricading a woman inside a room on Saturday.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) says on Nov. 18, deputies responded to a home on Dry Hill Lane in reference to a domestic situation. Deputies were informed that a woman was forced into a room and the door was barricaded, preventing her from leaving.

The CCSO says they were also notified that a man, later identified as Daniel Eubanks, of Rustburg, had allegedly discharged a gun at the woman during the incident.

Once on the scene, deputies set up a perimeter around the home and contacted the woman. During this time, authorities were able to take Eubanks into custody.

Eubanks was charged with Attempted Murder along with:

  • Abduction
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
  • Domestic A&B (3rd offense)

He is currently being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
