UPDATE: Power restored to three Botetourt County schools in Fincastle

UPDATE: 9:20 A.M. BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) –The Botetourt County School officials have announced that power has been restored to Breckinridge Elementary School, Central Academy Middle School, and Botetourt Technical Education Center.

School officials say there will be further adjustments to the school day.

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Botetourt County Public Schools says three schools are currently facing power outages on Friday, Nov. 3.

School officials say Breckinridge Elementary School, Central Academy Middle School, and Botetourt Technical Education Center are without power. As a result, these schools may be facing phone and internet service issues.

According to the Appalachian Power company outage map, approximately 353 customers are without power in the Fincastle area, due to equipment-related issues. The map estimates that service is expected to be restored by 2 p.m.

Botetourt County Public School Officials say any adjustments to the school days, including potential closes will be announced.
