Rhian Lowndes joined WFXR as a multimedia journalist in February 2022.
Rhian started out in Presque Isle, Maine where she was a general assignment reporter for WAGM and ran a weekly agricultural series called the County Ag Report. While up north, she covered a world-record ice carousel and the re-opening of the U.S.-Canadian border.
Before Maine, Rhian left her hometown outside of Philly to earn her bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Boston University. During college, she worked for various small newspapers alongside the Boston University News Service and ran a digital culinary publication, TasteBUds.
Outside of work, Rhian loves good food and the great outdoors. You might see her hiking one of Virginia’s many trails, or going for a run downtown.
