Harlem, NY native Odyssey Fields grew up in a city that never sleeps. She attended a performing arts school where she found her passion for writing. As the creator and writer of her high school newsletter, she developed a love for journalism.
Taking steps out of the big city, she went to college at Hampton University and graduated with a degree in Journalism in 2021. In college, she wrote for the college newspaper the Hampton Script covering U.S. and World news and wrote scripts for the WHOV-Tv newscast.
As a Junior in college, Odyssey began working as an editorial writer for the women’s entrepreneurship section of Exposure Magazine. She helped to find features for the magazine while editing stories. Additionally, she worked with the magazine’s Tv Network, Exposure Tv as the host/ anchor of Speak Live Nation.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, she interned at Lohud.com with Gannett in Westchester, NY covering community news. She continued her writing journey as a Digital Content Producer at WFXR News.
Odyssey loves learning for her teammates, covering stories about businesses, and loves seeing what the day will bring. She loves dogs, cooking, doing yoga, reading, and shopping. She loves tasting new food and is always ready for the next adventure.
