Kathlynn Stone

Kathlynn Stone is an Anchor and Reporter at WFXR. You can watch her weeknights during WFXR News at 6:00 pm &  6:30 pm and WFXR News First at 10.

As a reporter, Kathlynn specializes in unsolved crimes and missing persons cases. The desire to help families, and the hope of helping solve cases, motivates her to spotlight these important stories.  

In her free time, Kathlynn enjoys hiking and exploring new restaurants and shops. She is also active in her community, volunteering her time at the Ronald McDonald House of SWVA.  If you see Kathlynn out and about be sure to say “Hello!”   

The Bluefield, Virginia native attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. 

In July of 2016, Kathlynn joined WFXR as the Anchor of Good Day Virginia after spending three years working for WVVA in Bluefield, WV. She transitioned to the evening news in February of 2019.
