Brooke Williams is originally from the Sunshine State and has traveled to the far corners of the country. She previously lived in New York City where she obtained her Master’s degree from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism. During her time there, Brooke was awarded the Lloyd Siegel Broadcast News Internship Award. After graduating, Brooke ventured to Williston, North Dakota where she was a bureau reporter for two years and miraculously managed to survive the freezing temperatures and frostbite. Anything for a good story!
Brooke has an undergraduate degree in criminology from Florida State University. She enjoys reporting on criminal justice-related issues, with an emphasis on wrongful convictions. When she’s not reporting at WFXR, you can catch her watching Florida State University football games and checking off items on her bucket list. She’s always up for an adventure and enjoys living life to the fullest.
