ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — For the 9th year, Roanoke County’s ‘Artisan Saturday’ event will be returning to Explore Park on June 3.

Attendees can admire and purchase unique, handcrafted items made by 10 local artisans. Fused glass, pottery, ink art, plein air paintings, fiber art, wood turning, and jewelry are just some of the items offered. Many of these items are already sold at the Explore Park gift shop.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Twin Creeks Brewpub will hold a ‘Kid Created Craft Fair’ on the lawn. Starting at noon, attendees can grab a drink at the Brewpub, and enjoy listening to live musical performances in the Visitor Center Plaza.

The Artisan Saturday event is not the only activity happening in the park. The Treetop Quest will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and the T-Rex Trail will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets for these activities can be purchased online beforehand.

This event is completely free to attend. If you can’t make it this week, there will be another Artisan Saturday on September 9.
