This afternoon, some children learned about how agriculture is so important in the community, by learning about apple production.
Gross Orchards came to talk to kids at the Creative Kids Clubhouse.
They learned about what farmers do at the orchard and how they have to take care of the apples through all four seasons.
School teachers say it’s important for young children to learn where their food comes from.
“A lot of children in our community don’t actually realize the full aspect of agriculture and the agricultural needs in our community,” said Jessica Chattin, Director at Creative Kids Clubhouse.
The school plans to make apple sauce and apple pies for the kids later this week.
