The Franklin County Agricultural Fair will be in full swing starting Wednesday.
Today people could bring by baked goods, flowers, jams, and quits to be entered into the competitive exhibits.
The winners will be displayed at the fair during the weekend.
Fair volunteers say people love to come and see who won the top prize in the different categories.
“Everybody’s really thrilled with what they see. They always debate whether theirs is nicer than the one that’s next to it. Or they had something that they should have brought that they’ll bring next year so it’s always a lot of debate and a lot of good comradery,” said Carol Haynes, Virginia Cooperative Extension.
The fair opens Wednesday at 5 and lasts through Saturday.
